How To Apply
Criteria for submissions:
- First Pitch is open to Australian school children, under the age of 18 at the time of entry.
- The entry form must be digitally signed by the parent/legal guardian of the Contestant or by a school representative.
- All video pitches must be submitted no later than 11:59pm, AEST, November 10th, 2023. We strongly recommend creating a Canva video and sending the link via the application form below.
- A judging panel will select winners, and notify finalists via email on or before the 19th of November 2023.
- You consent to be photographed or videoed for advertising, educational, performing or promotional purposes, open to the public in any kind of media.
- You authorise First Pivot to state the contestant’s full name, age, hometown and use the video taken as the entry, before, during and after the performance on promotional and in any other media, without consideration or payment beyond the awarded prizes.
- You consent not to hold responsible First Pivot, its directors, employees, and affiliates responsible for any liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind in connection with the contest, audition, performance or prizes won.

As a student and part of the First Pitch family, you are entitled to access Canva’s premium software package,
‘Canva for Education’ for FREE! Simply ask your teacher to invite you to join Canva for Education. They can do this from their Canva for Education account.
Students below 13 need parental consent to use Canva for Education
This is in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (if applicable) and our Privacy Policy. You can use this sample consent template to help teachers get consent, but it is your school’s responsibility to determine how to use it and to ensure it meets your requirements. Include your school’s contact information and details about the services that you enable, and share it along with resources about Canva's Privacy Policy.
