What is First Pitch For Kids?
First Pitch for Kids 2020 is Australia’s largest national entrepreneurship competition for kids ages 8-13! This is the first ever online AT HOME national entrepreneurship competition for kids. Kids will create and pitch their ideas from home and submit them online. The top finalists from each state will then pitch on the 22nd of October to an online panel of Judges for a grand prize of $1,000! (National Winner gets $2,500)

How does it work?
1.) Come up with an idea and business pitch (Think Shark Tank!)
2.) Parents must fill out the registration form 3.) State Winners win $1,000 and are selected to pitch their idea over Video Conference to our expert Judging panel 4.) Up to 1,000 audience members can watch the event and vote for the audience favorite. Judge grand prize winner wins $2,000! Audience Fan Favorite wins $500! |

Who can do it?
First Pitch for Kids 2020 is open to any child in Australia between the ages of 8-13. Kids may apply as an individual or as a team with a sibling or (socially-distanced) friend but all members of the team must be between the ages of 8-13. Parents may help film and upload video. Please remember, this is a competition for kids, not adults.

Who created First Pitch For Kids?
Jim Schuman is the co-founder of First Pivot. Their company provides entrepreneurial education for primary and secondary schools across Australia. Yet, no venue existed for budding entrepreneurs in primary school to test out, share, or hone their entrepreneurial skills. Inspired by the hit show, “Shark Tank”, Jim created First Pitch For Kids.
